Janus Developmental Services, Inc. operates the public transit system for Hamilton County. The program is an affordable origin to destination service that meets the transportation needs of individuals enrolled in programs and services on site at Janus Developmental Services, Inc. as well as the public. Janus Developmental Services, Inc. is proud to offer this valuable community service.
Hours of Operation
Monday – Friday 6:00am — 6:00pm
Saturday 7:00am — 3:00pm
Fares (Hamilton County only)
$4.00 adult one way
$2.00 student one way
$50.00 pass for one month of unlimited rides
$40.00 student pass for one month of unlimited rides
$15.00 pass for 16 $1-credits in Hamilton County
Fare is to be paid in exact amount as the driver does not carry cash and cannot make change.
Fare must be paid at time of pick-up. Hamilton County Express (HCE)
cannot be responsible for lost passes. Passes may be purchased from the
HCE Driver, or at Janus Developmental Services.
Personal care assistants may ride free of charge.
Point to Point Service
Hamilton County Express is an origin to destination service, available throughout Hamilton County.

- Weekend requests must be received by Friday at 12:00pm
- Transportation requests for Monday must be received by 12:00pm on the previous Friday

Becky Moore, director of Mephibosheth Ministries at Cicero Christian Church, called our office with the story of a young gentleman by the name of Tony. Tony attended their summer camp program and expressed that he would like to attend the Adult Day Program sponsored by the church. Tony lives in the southern most corner of Hamilton County, and needs transportation to Cicero in the morning and evening two days a week. Transporting Tony to the program could only happen because Hamilton County Express is able to assist Tony, Becky explains. Tony is in a wheelchair, his caretaker is not able to transport him, and his parents work. With the help of Becky Moore and the caretaker alerting Janus, Hamilton County Express has been able to transport Tony on a weekly basis to the program he loves. Tony’s driver has shared how much Tony loves riding the bus, interacting with other riders, and just taking in the scenery on the way to and from Cicero. The simple act of providing a ride enables Tony to access his community and become a contributing member of program that means so much to him.
